The Mont Blanc Project 2010: “A Climb for Childhood Cancer” is a fundraising endeavor for the Childhood Cancer patients at Princess Margaret Hospital, Ward 3B, The Total Care Unit.
Meet our Ambassadors – Ben Elton and Ricky Ponting
As a parent I can scarcely imagine the horror of being told that your child has cancer which is why I am proud to add my name to this fantastic project and become one of it’s Ambassador’s. Rick and the team have a huge challenge ahead of them but with all our support they can make a real contribution to the fantastic work done at Princess Margaret Hospital where kids are facing an even greater challenge.
I wish every one of the climbers the very best as they take their dream to the top of the world.
Ben Elton
I wish Rick and his fellow climbers all the very best for their assault on Mont Blanc.
Over the last nine years, my wife Rianna and I have been busy doing everything we can to support children and their families affected by cancer. The Ponting Foundation provides funding for a wide range of essential services that comfort and nurture the child while providing emotional support and financial assistance for their family.
I am extremely proud to put my name to Rick’s inspiring initiative and know that he will be successful in making a significant difference to Ward 3B. I will be with everyone in spirit as they climb Mont Blanc and look forward to hearing of the overall outcome. I also encourage all Australians to get behind the cause and make a donation to the ‘Climb for Childhood Cancer’ – you can help Rick and the team to do their bit in the battle against this disease.
